a website that is going to work for you. At Design My Site we work with you to acheive that objective.
When we design a site, we do so with both the Search Engines and the human visitor in mind. Google, which is currently the most popular Search
Engine, advises designers to design and build sites with the human visitor in mind. When Google visits each site it gathers information as if
it were a human visitor. So, it expects the url, headings and contents to be relevant to each other and to make sense.
During construction of the website we install Google Analytics. Google Analytics provides a small piece of code which is put onto the website
and this allows Google to build up a profile of visitors to your website. This information is used to update the site to be more appropriate to
the actual keywords that visitors are using to get to the site. Once the site is up and running we use Google Webmasters Tools to let Google know
about the site and further optimise it for search engines.
All sites are validated for World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) compliance against the HTML and the Cascading Style Sheet. This means that the site
will always appear the same in W3C compliant browsers.
Amongst our technical tools are html, PHP, CSS, My SQL and Wordpress, to name but a few. These tools are used to produce functional websites and,
where appropriate, business automation. That automation could be as simple as collecting the contact details of interested visitors to taking
payment for products and services.
